Gigabit Infrastructure Deployed - New Services Offered |

University Computing Centre SRCE and Croatian Academic and Research Community CARNet, trough their mutual project Giga CARNet, were aiming at building a technologically advanced networking infrastructure of the new generation, which would enable new, advanced and highest quality networking services.
Thereby, mutual activities and cooperation of research and educational communities in Croatia and abroad were supported, and development of new, advanced applications and educational and scientific services is encouraged.
The project was running trough four subprojects:
- Building Giga CARNet Network (Project Manager: Mario Klobučar, SRCE),
- Giga CARNet Traffic - Network Management (Project Manager: Igor Velimirović, CARNet),
- CAR6Net - Implementation of IPv6 Protocols and Related Technologies (Project Manager: Vladimir Rabljenović, SRCE),
- Giga CARNet Video-Multimedia Services (Project Manager: Zlatko Jelačić, CARNet)
