The Referal Center for the SAS program system provides institutions from the scientific and higher education system with efficient and quality use of the SAS program system.
The aim of the Referal Center is to ensure preconditions at universities to be able to include quality statistical and graphical data analyses into educational, scientific and professional work and to educate users from universities and scientific institutions in various aspects of using the SAS program system by organizing courses and consultations.
SAS licensees are Croatian universities which, based on a contract between SRCE and the SAS Institute, have the right to use the SAS program system.
Activities of the Referal Center include:
- receiving and registering requests for the assignment of SAS license copies;
- distribution and installation of new SAS versions,
- cooperation with the SAS Institute,
- consultations regarding the installation of SAS,
- planning, preparation and organizing courses on the use of the SAS system,
- consultations regarding changes in new software versions,
- maintaining stat-sas-l mailing list, and
- servicing the project Web site (CRO).
